Welcome to Speech-Language Therapy

My name is Kerry Palider, and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist here at Lincoln School. I currently work with children in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade as well as children in the preschool program. My main goal is to help students improve their communication skills.

Speech-Language Pathologists work with school aged children identified as having a communication disorder that adversely affects their ability to access the school curriculum. Areas of need can range from an articulation disorder (speech sounds), pragmatic/social language concerns (following rules of conversation, changing language to meet the needs of a listener), receptive and expressive language delays (vocabulary, grammar, following direction, sequencing and organization), fluency/stuttering (interruptions in flow or rhythm of speech) and voice disorders (harsh, hoarse or nasal vocal quality).
