PLC (late arrival) Days

Our first bell rings at 9:55am, and the tardy bell rings at 10:00am. Staff supervision begins at 9:45am, and crossing guards are present 9:40-10:00am. Breakfast will begin at door #1 at 9:25am. If you are interested in signing up for Before Care on PLC Days, please contact Ms. Kresen at 783-4321. Before Care is available for $8.00 per day beginning as early as 7:00am at door #17.

2017-2018 Kindergarten Round Up

Lyons 103 2016-2017 Kindergarten Round-Up is coming April 12 from 6-7pm (actual Kindergarten registration is in August) at all five elementary schools. If you have a child that will be five (5) years old by September 1, 2017 you should come! If you do not have a child eligible for kindergarten, please pass this notice on to a neighbor or friend who does. The evening of round up, parents will need to bring the child’s original birth certificate (no copies can be accepted) with the birth number and seal on it. The hospital record is not a birth certificate and cannot be used. The following is a list of requirements for students entering Kindergarten in District 103: completed enrollment packet which parents receive at round up; proof of residency, i.e. lease or mortgage is required; physical examination by a licensed physician (the exam must be conducted within one year of entering Kindergarten) including tuberculin test with results; proof of immunization against measles, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, poliomyelitis, Rubella (German Measles) and mumps with necessary booster, second measles immunization, current Tuberculosis test and lead screening, and Hepatitis B series (3) and HIB vaccine; a completed Dental Exam; a completed Eye Exam, a registered birth certificate (copy will be made for schools); Student Language Survey; and Terms and Conditions for Use of Internet.

PARCC testing for all 3-5 graders

The testing window is March 7-31. You can support your child by ensuring they have a full night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, arrive to school on time, do not leave school early, and encourage them to give best effort.
