Introduction

I am Silke Thomas and I have been at Lincoln School for 15 years. I have always taught first grade. The little ones are definitely my favorite!!! I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University. 

 

I am originally from Germany. After high school I decided to change it up a little bit and move to America. My first passion was languages and I always wanted to learn many. I am fluent in German, English and somewhat Russian. My goal is to learn Spanish someday! Life has gotten in the way a little bit. 

 

I have been married for 21 years. My husband Chris and I have two beautiful children, Alex (Junior at RB High School) and Jenny (7th grader at S.E. Gross Middle School). We live in Brookfield and we enjoy going for bike rides together. I also love to watch and go to CUBS games.
