Introduction

My name is Rhonda Velazquez and I am a 5th grade teacher here at Lincoln Elementary School. This year I am looking forward to having another incredible school year! I have taught for over 15 years at practically every grade level. I graduated from Illinois State University with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. More recently, I received a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as master’s degree from National Louis University in Educational Administration, graduating as an Educational Specialist. I truly believe in setting goals and achieving them. This was evident last year when I achieved my first degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo. This is my sixth year at Lincoln Elementary School and I truly enjoy working with the students I teach. I have met such wonderful families that are truly supportive of their children and the educational system. I’m a big proponent of having open communication with parents so please never hesitate to contact me at velazquezr@sd103.com. During school hours please call Lincoln School at 708-783-4600 to leave me a voicemail or call 708-783-4678 before or after school hours. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. I look forward to getting to know you and your children throughout the year. With your assistance we can make it a great one!!
