Introduction
My name is Sami Caputo and I am your students’ new Kindergarten and First grade teacher! I am so excited to start this year! Let me tell you a little about myself. I graduated with honors from Roosevelt University. My degree is in Special Education. Once I graduated, I received an aide position here at Lincoln for a few months. I took a Self-contained K-3 position for half of a year covering a maternity leave. Then a Resource position opened up and I did that for two years. I did three years in General Education as a 3rd grade teacher. Lastly, this past year I ran the Kinder CD program. My goal is for ALL of my students to experience success and learn as much as possible. Every student can learn and will learn in my class. I celebrate everyones’ differences as an asset and hope to instill a Love of learning, not only at school, but forever in life.
I am glad you could make it to our Parent Information Night. Tonight you will learn what your child will be doing. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share any concerns or excitements that you may have about this year. Another main goal is to work with your students goals and help them achieve success in many different categories. Below is my email information.
