Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!
My name is Jessica Cimaroli and this is my first year here at Lincoln. I am so exited to join the Lincoln team. Previously I taught first grade for two years and third grade last year. I joined the math intervention team this year, which tripled in size over the summer! The math interventionist team consists of myself, returning member Liz Durkin, and new to the math team Greg Durant.
Our goal in math intervention is to increase student growth through targeted instruction based on individual student needs. Three times a year, students take the NWEA MAP test, which helps us see how they compare with students in-district, statewide and nationally. We use the results of these tests to determine which students may benefit from additional small group support. These tests also allow us to see what specific math skills a student is lacking mastery in. By working with students in small groups and tailoring instruction to fill gaps in understanding, we aim to increase student growth and mastery in fundamental math concepts.

I'm looking forward to a great year full of wonderful growth!
